for good reason?

just wanted to greet you a happy mother's day.......... i know you will always say you have the best day, so here's hoping you really do.....

i find this absolutely amusing......finally, some thoughts on motherhood, eh?

so, what does a good mother entail? well, it is a mother who loves her own children that she is willing to let go of her own frustrated values or beliefs and let her kids be who they really are....KIDS, not some machine of a kid she carefully manufactures. a good mother is never perfect, but she listens and looks at how other mothers have raised their kids, but look no further than their own mothers. if other mothers aren't such good mothers, how come you marry into a bad brood? if, in your opinion, you have the best mothering skills, how come you come into one that you despise the most?

i disagree that a mother should not work for a living. it is a choice, a hard one at that but i am willing to do it, but never at the expense of my children. while they are in school, i run and work a few hours a day, nothing is sacrificed except my siesta time....which works for me because it helps keep my weight and my bank account in check. i cannot understand people who are fat and lazy, who refuse to work on the lame excuse that they have more important things to do than help themselves. if you can afford to not work, while not asking other people for dole outs...lucky you.....i wish i could do that, and still send my bills to someone else.

got work to do, if i didn't, nobody would bail us out everytime bills don't get paid.

i am a mother. in heart, body and soul. no one messes with my kid and gets away with it. i mean it. everytime i remember some things in the past, and all the pains and troubles i went through for the sake of my kid....whew! i will say it over and over again, this is my kid, i will die for him and would not back out if anybody try to hurt my little one.

even a dog would bite you if  you mess with their puppy, or any animal mom, don't you think so? try it, see what you get out of it. if it is okey with you to hit your child for every tiny mistake, i save mine for the real important ones. i let the small ones pass with a lesson. trust me, i do talk to my kid, and it works much better than a smack in the butt. at least for us.

i love my kid too much, and because i love him i let him be a kid. he may make mistakes along the way, but i will always be there to help every step of the way. he is out to explore, to check for himself, think for himself. i am but a shadow,a guiding light trying to show him the way. believe it or not, he may not be like any other kid on the block, but it's okey, and he knows that. he may not always listen to what i have to say, it is okey, he is learning to stand up for himself. i am not God, i am not a dictator, sometimes i do not even listen to myself. why should i expect him to follow my every word? of course there are guiding rules, and he knows that too.

so if my kid is not like yours or anybody else's, thank God. because i am secure that he will someday grow up to who he is supposed to be,  not a shadow of my thoughts or aspirations.
